Core Positions Youth Advocate/Relief Youth Advocate: (Residential Program Only) The
Youth Advocate’s job responsibilities include: Providing shift
to shift direct care, support and safety for clients involved in program;
adhering to the specific tenets of the program’s model; completing
necessary trainings to accurately deliver services; implementing program’s
schedule and assisting in scheduling events for the youth involved in
the program; implementing the behavioral motivation Relief Youth Advocate: responsible for completing the above job responsibilities on a per diem basis. Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree or in lieu of a degree must have 2 years of relevant
professional Case/Client Services Coordinator The Case/Client Services Coordinator responsibilities include: Providing comprehensive case management for the youth and families referred to the program; completing applicable assessments in order to make appropriate referrals for services for a youth from the initial entry into the program through discharge; assisting clients and families in meeting necessary appointments to ensure a successful completion; providing mediation services when necessary and adhering to the tenets of the specified model as well as programmatic and agency policy and procedures. Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Social Services or related field and experience working with at-risk youth and their families are required; knowledge of family dynamics, crisis intervention and de-escalation skills are desired; Must have excellent interpersonal and time management skills; knowledge of Spanish desired. Clinician The Clinician job responsibilities include: Developing, implementing and coordinating the case coordination and clinical aspects of the program by providing counseling and case management services to clients and their families; Assisting clients in identifying strengths, challenges and goals to create a treatment plan that empowers the clients for success; providing applicable treatment and/or referring to higher level of care; ensuring proper intake service delivery and discharge proponents of the clients served; providing support and supervision to the Coordinators; providing on-going quality assurance of files and applicable systems; assuming all responsibilities of the Program Director when he/she is out of the office. Qualifications: Masters level clinician required, licensed clinicians preferred with experience working with at-risk youth and their families in an individual, family and group setting; strong clinical skill set and ability to meet documentation requirements a must. Knowledge of program administration is desired; supervisory experience is required. Knowledge of family dynamics, crisis intervention and de-escalation skills also desired. Must possess excellent interpersonal and time management skills in order to provide staff and program oversight when necessary. Knowledge of Spanish in oral and written communication is desired. Program Coordinator: (Residential Program Only) Program Coordinator’s job responsibilities include: Assisting the Program Director in providing program and operational oversight to ensure all tenets of the program model are met; training, developing and supervising Youth Advocates (direct care staff); providing leadership through interpretation and implementation of program goals and design; ensuring that activities and schedules are followed accordingly to ensure that clients needs and appointments are met on a daily basis; assisting in crisis management, de-escalation, and proper implementation of the behavior motivational system; working collaboratively with the Program Director to ensure appropriate documentation is complete. Qualifications: Masters Degree in Social Services or a related field is preferred with at least three years of experience working with at-risk youth, in addition to 1-2 years supervisory experienced. Bachelors Degree required with experience in direct care and/or case management and at least 2-3 years supervisory experience. Knowledge of program administration is preferred, supervisory experience is required. Knowledge of family dynamics, crisis intervention and de-escalation also desired; must have excellent interpersonal and time management skills in order to provide staff and program oversight. Knowledge of Spanish in oral and written communication desired. Program Director Program Director’s job responsibilities include: Providing overall leadership to the program and staff to ensure that policies, procedures and contractual obligations are successfully met; approving staffing patterns, providing staff supervision, and monitoring staff performance. The Program Director serves as the primary contact person for the program especially with the funding source and in public forums; he/she supervises the overall operation of the program, ensures that the program operates under an established policy within fiscal guidelines and participates in overall program development and continuous quality improvement. Qualifications:
Masters Degree in the Social Services field is preferred with at
least 3 years supervisory experience; or a Bachelors Degree required
with 5-7 years supervisory experience. Must possess knowledge of family
dynamics, crisis interview and de-escalation skills, knowledge of program
administration also desired; Must have excellent interpersonal and time
management skills. Knowledge Mentor/Volunteer: (Mentoring Program Only) Mentor’s responsibility is to provide support and learning opportunities to the youth that they are matched with; they build strong positive relationships that provide guidance, promote development, and increase confidence within their mentees. Mentors serves as a role model and in that capacity, must always exemplify positive, motivating and respectful behavior. Qualifications: Bachelors Degree is preferred, with ability and willingness to make a participation commitment of at least one year; must possess a desire to make a difference in a child’s life; must be available at least 6 hours per month to meet with mentor. |
