Girls’ Center for Assessment Respite and Enrichment (CARE) Program.

1. The Girls’ CARE Program, a 6 bed respite center for court referred youth, funded by Court Support Services Division (CSSD) is seeking a supportive and energetic Youth Advocate (direct care staff) to work the Friday-Monday 5:00pm-11pm shift. The qualified individual will obtain at minimum a BA/BS in a Human Services related field and have some experience working with youth, preferably in the juvenile justice system. Considerable interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills are required, as well as the ability to learn and adhere to policies and procedures. Knowledge of Spanish- oral and written communication is desired. Additional certifications will be required upon incumbency. This is part- time, union position with prorated benefits.

Family Support Center (FSC)

1. The Family Support Center is seeking an organized, experienced leader to serve as the Program Director. The Program Director’s purpose is to provide leadership to ensure the successful delivery of a strengths-based, gender responsive, trauma informed, community based, family-centered program. Experience as it relates to working with the juvenile justice system, particularly working with court-involved youth and their families is necessary. The eligible candidate will posses, at minimum, a Master’s Degree in Social Work or other Human Service related field plus three years experience in direct service to clients, including two years supervisory experience; LPC or LCSW preferred. Knowledge of New Haven community services and neighborhood dynamics as well as the ability to communicate both in oral and written Spanish desired. Additional certifications will be required upon incumbency. This is a forty (40) hour, exempt position with a competitive benefits package.

2. The Family Support Center is seeking an organized, team player to fulfill the bilingual Case Coordinator position. The Case Coordinator’s responsibilities include completing screenings, intakes, and psychosocial assessments in order to create appropriate client collaborative plans to ensure the best possible services while in the program as well as a smooth discharge from the program. Requirements include minimally a BA/BS in Human Services related field and two years experience in case management especially as it relates to working with the juvenile justice system and with youth and families. Considerable interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, and timely data entry are requisites as well as the ability to learn and adhere to policies and procedures. Additional Certifications will be required upon incumbency. This is a forty-hour a week, exempt position with a competitive salary and benefits package.
